When president, Ken Sakurai founded Coastal in 1973, he started with a simple plan of housing local communities throughout Hawaii. 45 years later, this dream continues to be the undermining drive behind Coastal's workforce. As a trusted name in the construction industry, we value our reputation of being able to

In 2005, Coastal was the first company to be recognized with the Hawaii "Outstanding Builder Award." Since then, we've been consistently listed on Hawaii Businesses "Top 250" Awards and Hawaii Building Industry's "Top 25 Contractors" Awards.

KENNETH SAKURAI
President
Founder of Coastal Construction in 1973, Ken helped bring residential light gauge steel framing to mainstream Hawaii. With over 50 years of experience in construction management, Ken has lead Coastal to numerous awards including Hawaii's TOP25 Contractors for 5 consecutive years in a row and counting. Under his dedicated leadership, Coastal continues to make strides in residential and commercial construction.

With over 30 years of experience in the construction workforce, Les has a wealth of involvement in both field and office operations. He currently oversees all phases of management. As the upcoming predecessor to Coastal's future, Les is also tasked with long-term strategic planning and development.
